Castellón announce Miguel Falé loan signing

It’s two signings in two days for Castellón, as the club today announced the arrival of Portuguese prospect Miguel Falé from Braga on loan. Capable of playing across the front line, 19-year-old Falé is fresh off representing Portugal at the U19 Euros, scoring in the last group stage game against Malta. Although Portugal fell at the final hurdle in the final against Italy, it was an extremely promising performance for another talented generation of Portuguese players.

After the signing of Sebastian Grønning yesterday, he becomes the eighth arrival at Castalia, and will occupy one of the U23 slots the club has available in the first team squad.

Having come through the Braga youth setup, Falé broke into the first team at the end of 2021/22, making eight appearances and contributing three assists in Portugal’s top flight. He made 11 appearances in the Portuguese third division for Braga B last year, and the move to Castellón will allow him to build on his experience in the Braga first team from two seasons ago.

Falé’s versatility will be a big asset to Castellón in Dick Schreuder’s system, with an ability to play both out wide and more centrally. Koné’s recent departure to Nea Salamis in Cyprus left a space to fill offensively, and it seems like the man from Redondo fits the bill perfectly.
